Introduction of playground mats

Mats are used in wide ranges. We can see them in many fields, just like residence communities, parks, kinder gardens, amusement parts, schools and professional stadiums and so on. Such these places are covered. We know that mats are mainly used in sports and activities. In the meanwhile, they can protect people from damaging. If you fall down on the hard floors when you are sporting, you may be hurt so seriously. But mats can reduce your pain. That is the effect of mats.

According to the making materials, mats can be divided into six types. Each of them has different character and using range. However, according to the usage, they can be mainly sorted out into three types. Here I introduce some of them for you.

The first one is the playground mats. Maybe they are the most common because we can see and use in many fields. Permeable playground mats are finished in a short time. What is more, the performance of them achieves each indicator. Because of the easy repairs and affordable prices, they became the first choice of colleges and schools. One type of playground mat is not the most standers, so it is suitable for the kinder gardens or primary schools. In usual, we know playground mats are mainly in red and green colors, but actually they can be made in many colors. Especially in kinder gardens and primary schools, colorful playground mats not only can provide sport places for children, but also can let them sport in happy environments.

The second one is the safety mats. As I mentioned in the preamble, mats can reduce the pain if you fall down on the hard floors when you are sporting. Mats provide safe surfaces where you walk or sport. In addition to this, they prevent slips and falls which cause damage and injury. They had been used in kinder gardens or schools. As we all know, children like to play on the playground. And the safety mats will be a good choice for your kids.

And the last one is artificial grass. Maybe many people like fresh grass for the can provide a green environment for them. However, fresh grass let you pay more attention to their protection and maintaining as well. It will spend you much time and money on them. Artificial grass is convenient and lasting. The most important is it can save your money and time. There is no need to pay more attention to artificial grass.

Portable Dance Floors – The Key to Touring Dance

If you are a performer, there are times when you will need to pack up your act and take it on the road. Tours of performances are a common occurrence for both dance and theatre companies, and you may be performing in venues that were not designed for dance or theatre. In these instances, you will need to have available some type of portable dance floor available in order to turn any venue into an appropriate performance space. Failure to do so can lead to injuries to performers, especially in the legs’ bones and joints, so it makes sense to have good dance flooring that you can take with you as needed.

You will first need to check any venue where your group will perform to size up the state of their current floor. Dancers and theatre performers should avoiding performing on floors that feature carpet, plywood, masonite, medium density fiberboard flooring, poured rubber, plastic or composite flooring, cement or concrete, tile, marble or non-sprung wood floors. This is crucial for maintaining the good health of your performers. The joints in your body, particularly in the legs, as well as the spine can suffer from the tremendous amount of pounding that occurs in the typical dance performance or theatre performance if those moves are done on a hard surface, one that offers no resiliency or bounce. The repetitive nature of performance leads to injuries that may take a long time to make their presence felt, but once they are there, you may have serious injuries that are permanent. Instead, it is best to perform on a sprung wooden dance floor.

You will want the surface of your dance floors to feature a hardwood top layer. This type of wood is very durable and beautiful, and works well for both theatre and dance. You will want a performance surface that resists cracking, and a wood dance floor that is portable can work well for this purpose, especially if it has been coated with a polyurethane finish. Woods such as oak, maple are the hardest and best suited to tap dance and other percussive dance performances, whereas pine, beech, birch and softer woods can work well for less percussive dance such as ballet or jazz dance as well as theatre productions.

Martial Arts Mats – Info

If you enjoy training in various locations or if you need to set up safety flooring in new locations on a regular basis, I highly suggest that you use interlocking martial art mats. These mats are a firm EVA foam material that come in large squares and connect together to make any sized mat or training surface you desire. They are also known as puzzle mats or jigsaw mats. Not only are they great as a training surface, they work well as fitness flooring, or protecting a kids play area. But most importantly, they are awesome mobile mats.

Whenever I wanted to move or change training locations, I could pull my mats up in a matter of minutes and stack them up on top of each other. A small truck, van or u-haul can easily transport them. When I give demonstrations, I simply pack them up in the van and take them with us. I remember taking my College of Martial Science students to a demonstration in Glendale California called, Dragon fest. I brought these mats for our demonstrations and every other martial arts black belt planning to do a demo, asked if they could use our mats too. We saved the day.

If these mats were too soft or too hard they would not have been very versatile and other martial artists would have had to adjust. But everyone was able to use these mats and thus prove to us that they really were the most versatile of mixed martial arts training surfaces.

But the real kicker is that you can create an instant training surface for martial arts in a matter of minutes. Since these mats are easy to move, you can be very creative in your options and save the day when someone needs a mat FAST. Since I give a lot of demonstrations I require a mat that is easy to take apart, will adjust to any size area, and be great on even the hardest of surfaces.

By far these foam puzzle mats are my favorite martial arts mat of choice. Even just having a few of them in the garage lying up against the wall or in storage will prove to be useful in a multitude of situations. Consider the various locations where you might want to take a mat. Here are just of few that I have used them.

* I used them as a stunt mats for TV commercials to protect stuntmen and actors

* I throw them over wooden stages for a quick safety surface

* I have even put them under a large carpet to provide safety cushion but still offer the look of a carpeted location or area.

These are only a few of the many ways I have put interlocking mats to use.
